Oh you mean Canadian winter temperatures
Morning people of the palace
No gaming for me last night cos mum realised she couldnt find her phone, took an hour to establish its not at the house - by 10pm I logged into google locate, pinged the phone (which was ringing). Locked the phone and this morning I was at the shop where we figured it would be. They were supposed to open at 9, I was there, they didnt open or answer phones. So I went to mall security and they forced the guys to open for me.
Got the phone and now at work.
Yup, specifically where I’m from originally. And that wasn’t including the wind, which cuts chunks of your cheek off.
And I still wanna go! Even tho my cousin has tried to help me I cant afford the move right now.
really
October isn’t a good time to go, its better to go in summer to give you some time to adjust. Jumping straight into the cold without the ‘ramp up’
Hehehe I love the cold dude, I miss it the most from the UK, and i stayed in the Lake district which is high north and a lot colder than the lower parts like London
We sledded to work in the snow - cars couldnt drive up the hill to where we stayed in winter.
Ah yes, sledding. I actually miss that. I remember one time we found a lid to a garbage dumpster, so about 10-15 of us piled on and went for a ride.
We just used black bin bags - it was the cheapest LOL
and ironically safest way to get down the hill at 6:30 in the morning - to much black ice under the snow that walking was actually not safe till a few people sled down and started clearing a path.
Anything less than 20 degrees C is too cold
Only if its outside. For the most part I find the office, busses and trains nice and toasty. It’s just cold moving between these things.
I spent a crap ton of hours in it
VERY grindy, but fun
Fair enough.
I think I may dislike public transport more than the cold now that you bring it up.
depends on country. Out here in the not-London parts of the UK it’s decent. In London it’s pretty sif.
But it all depends on time of day and the route. You don’t want to be on public transport during peak hours after a warm day with lots of manual labourers.
we probably hold the Guinness record for having the most finance ministers in a year
I will probably get around to trying it out one day. Some days the drive to and from work is the only peace and quiet I get, so public transport seems like a bad deal regardless of how decent it actually ends up being.
For the most part, pop in your headphones. Connect to the free WiFi and do your own thing. Beats driving any day.
Public transport is the one thing I miss from the UK, even in peak traffic, I was lucky, I worked on opposite ends of the same line, so I got on when the train was empty, last car right at the back I would sit and same for going home.
Mp3 player and a book and I was happy.
Just dont, what ever you do, get on a bus in a small town when the schools come out - you will regret it.
Anything more than 20 degrees C is too hot!
