Ek dop dit kla op my eie op die oomblik
All this talk of cold and hot weather… I hate hot weather myself and it seems so does my son. He starts crying like mad if the aircon isn’t on sub-zero temperatures in the evening. Great for both of us, but my wife piles on the blankets and still complains it’s too cold.
…and I have yet to visit a really cold place. Or experience snow. My dream location is alpine and snowy in winters. One day I’ll retire in a Northern European or American (including Canada) country.
Sounds like you will be retiring without your wife
Fahrenheit? Pfft, who uses that?
People who drive on the wrong side of the road
Farenheit? I was thinking Freedom units.
That what your southern neighbors use right?
So… from my research, that would be the Bahamas, the Cayman Islands and the Virgin Islands, since the USA and the few others that use Fahrenheit all drive on the correct side of the road…
Ya. Or as many of them know it, “degrees”. I actually knew an American that kept repeating “I only know degrees” even after I told them both F and C are measured in degrees several times.
Well, a couple of other temperature scales also use degrees like Delisle, Rankine and Newton ( Not to be confused with Newton , the SI unit of force. ) to name a few. Interestingly enough Kelvin is not measured in degrees.
For reference Kelvin is my favourite temperature scale
G’morninerds!

2 apps that we were very involved in just won in their respective categories at the MTN Business App of the Year Awards! Pineapple won best Consumer App and Ctrl won best Fintech. Even though we’re never the face of any consumer offerings, it’s great to see our hard work and diligence filtering through to their success… I’m super proud of our whole development team, as well as the support staff making sure they can perform optimally and always have a fun project to work on.
