Gearbox still havenāt learn to optimise map assets on unreal engine. Random frame drops, still happen. Hardware unboxed did an objective breakdown of performance hit based on each graphical setting.
I got the game on the EGS sale for $29. It plays so much better on PC. At first it ran OK (40-60FPS) on low settings and then I installed new GPU drivers and now I get an average of 56FPS (according to Radeon software) on mostly medium settings .
I still donāt have the DLC but at least I have the game on PC now, even if it is the EGS version.
One negative thing is that it takes extremely long to load into the game and the first time you launch with DX12 it takes another couple of minutes before it loads the main menu.
A friend got me the DLC on EGS yesterday. Iāve played about an hour of it so far and it is pretty sweet. Handsome Jack is such an amazing character and they handle him very well here (from what Iāve seen so far).
Thatās a hard one. The first time I just went with the one that looked the coolest to me (FL4K), but Iāve since discovered that Amara is my favourite. They are all good though and each one has many possible build options.
Zane is probably the best character when it comes to voice acting and personality, but he is known to be the weakest in terms of skills (specifically end game wise). Heās still great though and will be the next character I play after I finish the DLC.
Man Iām getting some cool legendary guns in the DLC. I got one that literally shoots explosive bottles of hot sauce and another that has a chance to apply a random effect (like more projectiles, bonus damage, etc) every time you reload it.
Destiny 2 might have the edge in the gunplay department but Borderlands 3 definitely takes the cake when it comes to the weapon designs (and sounds).
Only finished this game once, and had no inclination to play more, because of the tumble weeds rolling passed in the ghost town of EGS. I am looking forward to PvE on steam though
Tumble weeds? Iāve finished it twice on PS4 and three times on PC so far and Iāve never had an issue finding people to play with on either platform. On PS4 I mostly played with a friend but all my coop time on PC was done with randoms through matchmaking. I will say that the matchmaking needs work (mission progress mismatch and such), but finding people has never been an issue for me.
