played some Cities Skylines during my lunch break and quickly realised I never played Skylines before haha. Largely because I had no idea wtf I was doing, the cool zoning the game has and the fact that I didn’t know who sewage and water works. And the game had zero hand holding… I like it… I might cry later but for now it’s cool.
I think when I said I played the high seas version I actually think I played Cities XL(which funny enough was mentioned yesterday)
This is why we can’t have nice things…
Mod users beware!! Check your installs. Delete any that you may have if you’re one of those 35,000 that may have them installed. And update your saves afterwards as well.
Yes that sucks. I saw the Reddit post earlier this week where a modder discovered the mal ware in the mods. And the twee people responsible for it are the most petty and childish assholes. I actually found one mod on theirs on my install, but never used it as it caused conflicts. So luckily it was deactivated, but I uninstalled it the moment I saw the post.
The Cities: Skylines team has issued a statement too.
Doesn’t seem as bad as the earlier news. Still not ideal though.
I’m glad they banned the mods and mod makers. When I read about such antics on Steam Workshop, I’m surprised this does t happen more often. The workshop relies a lot on the honesty of people and such scams is few and far between. Which is such a surprise for the internet.

This pedestrian-themed expansion will hit PC, Epic, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 simultaneously at a suggested retail price of 14.99 USD / 12.99 GBP / 14.99 EUR.
With Cities: Skylines - Plazas and Promenades , players can build their dream on-foot experience as well as adding different district options and city service buildings. Eliminate noise and air pollution and say hello to pedestrian streets, car free areas, and modern plazas - citizens will be thrilled to live in a walkable city.
Tie your shoes and hit the streets with the announcement trailer here: Cities: Skylines Plazas & Promenades DLC | Coming Soon | Official Announcement Trailer - YouTube
Cities: Skylines - Plazas and Promenades key features:
**
- Pedestrian Streets: let your citizens walk freely on pedestrian-only streets! Place them in your city like any other road and create new green city centers free of most vehicles and pollution.
- Pedestrian Zones and New Policies: activate three zone-specific policies for your city including Slow Driving: all roads in the pedestrian zone, except highways, get a speed limit of 20 miles/hour. Sugar Ban: increases the average lifespan of citizens in the pedestrian zone but decreases their happiness. Street Music: increases happiness and noise pollution in pedestrian commercial zones.
- District Specialization: we added 3 new district specializations: offices, high-density residential areas, and high-density commercial zones. Setting a specialization on a district affects all zoned squares in that district that will spawn buildings with a different visual appearance and a gameplay effect. Each specialization features 24 new modern wall-to-wall buildings!
- City Service Buildings: service buildings are important, but how about awesome-looking service buildings? Connect them to pedestrian zones by matching their visual style and provide services that contribute to good happiness values.
Accompanying the release of Plazas and Promenades are two content creator packs and two radio stations:
**
- Inspired by the American design movement of the same name, “Mid-Century Modern” by Rev0 grants players sleek and stylish residential growable buildings.
- “Seaside Resorts” by Gèze brings the spirit of the classic seaside resort towns, boulevards and piers that flourished in 19th century America to Cities: Skylines.
Finally, the release will also deliver fresh tunes for aspiring architects in the form of two radio stations: Paradise Radio and Shoreline Radio . “Plazas and Promenades” Expansion, the two Content Creator packs and the two Radio Stations will be available in the “ Plazas and Promenades Bundle” at a 15% discount.
Not gonna lie, but that sounds awesome. And let’s be honest, we could all do with more Skylines content.
Even so, will probably only get it on discount later on.
This is the (Cities: Skylines) way.
That’s amazing.
There is a whole rabbit hole of content of people rebuilding cities from around the world at a one-to-one ratio.
What about us lonely PC peasants?
We have mods…thousands and thousands of mods.
With the CS2 announcement, I got back into the game, dusted off a previous city I was building, and made it better and bigger…
Let me introduce you to Ballito Bay!!
City is sitting currently at 76000 cims, with traffic at 81%. All DLC is being used as well as many, many mods.

The SR Hammer International Airport ensures people from around the world will be able to visit the city.
The D Mol Collery has provided all metals and glass to construct the entire city, and now mainly focusses on the huge lemonade factory the city to known for and for exports.
For those that want to escape the hustle and bustle of the city, Wyvern Rock was built on the shores of Pebble Creek and is the municipalities premier tourist and holiday destination, with horseback riding, hiking, fishing, Korean and Japanese culinary restaurants and more to do and see here.
This is Redd Premium Pears’ main farm, located on the northern side banks of Pebble Creek. This is the oldest industry in the region and the main reason for the city’s growth and survival. The owner, Greg, does some fabulous brunches on Sundays.
The Ballito Bay University is situated on Crusader Hill overlooking downtown and is home to some amazing engineering programs.
This is Rich-Bitch outlook, also known as Farlight Hill. It has a great view of old town as well as the harbour.
