COD Black Ops 4 won’t have a single-player campaign

Call of Duty black ops 4 wont be shipping with a single player campaign (just like the 360,PS3 versions of Black Ops 3). Inside sources, who has asked to remain anonymous has confirmed with Polygon and Kotaku that as Black Ops 4’s impending release date approached, it became more and more clear that development on the single-player campaign wouldn’t be completed for the Oct. 12 release date and delaying the game for another few months is not a viable option. The one source said that Treyarch has since refocused development on expanding the multiplayer aspect and Zombies mode.

So I understand from a video I watched yesterday.
And perhaps, in exchange, implementing a BR.

Yip, Battlefield is also doing the Battle Royale thing too

Idiots. I don’t have wifi so I’m immediately out on this one.
It’s becoming hard to find new games that has a focus on single player

Agreed and, the developers will state that single player is slowly dying, as they force feed you their MP only focused games.

Call of Duty actually used to be good! Personally I think Treyarch’s last good COD was probably first Black Ops game. Infinity Ward seems to be keeping it real and Sledgehammer is trying different things.

Or is it that, singleplayer of SP/MP games’ (i.e CoD, BF) component that is dying?

Who knows, it seems like BLOPS IIII was probably pushed out the door as fast as possible due to BLOPS III and WWII dying a slow death to other MP shooters on the market. Namely Overwatch, CSGO, Rainbow Six and PUBG, since they are actually somewhat unique.

That’s the last black ops I bought.

I hate multiplayer focused games. I just want to get lost in a well thought out story

COD has been dead to me since Ghosts - this doesn’t exactly change my opinion.
