The skill is in figuring out which terms have multiple uses. If there’s 4 other metals but only 3 US coins, then nickel has to go with the coins. I do agree that some of the US-centric things are a bit dodgy though.

There’s also a bit of luck on there, I guess. I didn’t know what one of the blues was and got a lucky guess there. And the greens were pure guesswork to get the last one too.
