My very surreal covid 19 test: my wife has to go for a back operation and the hospital will not let it happen until she has a test done. At the testing centre you drive into the parking lot through a gate, park in a designated spot. A hazmat suited person comes out and swabs you in your car and walks off, you drive out.
You then pay R850 for the privilege.

The UK are going through a similar thing where they just had a massive document released yesterday outlining their emergence from lockdown with silly things like: you can meet a neighbour on the street and not your back garden. Totally arbitrary rules that cannot apply to every situation. Police are told to use “common sense” to decide who to fine and who not to.
The governments of the world are scrabbling like blind mice in a maze with this pandemic.

Presidential address at 20:30 tonight. General consensus is that they will introduce level 3, whatever that means.
I’m hoping I go back to work, but I’m not sure. I think that will depend on whether or not the hospital opens to the public again (visiting hours etc.) Even then I saw they said the 8pm curfew will likely remain in place and our shifts run until 10pm so we’ll see. Of course this is a speculation at this point.
