Diablo III

Season 15 is starting tomorrow I believe. Personally I haven’t played in years. Haven’t even played the expansion.

Is anyone still playing? How much have changed since the expansion?

I can get the expansion on special but I’m not sure if I want to do the whole Diablo III thing again.

In all honesty - the expansion was fun to play once. The seasons was fun the first few times and now its the same dog different tree feeling. I stop playing a game the moment I start watching movies or tv shows on my tablet when I game. I was doing that the whole time with D3 after season 4/5 ish

If grinding the same bounties and similar rifts, and hating on Kadala are your thing, then this may be for you!

How much D3 have you played before?

Kadala must burn in a fire

I’ve got between 200 and 300 hours in Diablo III. Stopped playing before the expansion was released however.

Hmmm do I want to do this to myself again? Part of me is excited to play the game again after so many years but it takes up so much time and I already have so many other games in my backlog.

If you never played the expansion, I’d say give it a go. Its a whole different beast to vanilla D3

Does Reaper of Souls include the Necromancer?

I agree, play the expansion then uninstall dont get pulled into the seasons - its really bull - the gear isnt great, the builds are boring

Nope. Theres a new “eternal” edition that includes all the things however.

The console edition (I played PS4 version) is really amazing if you interested in going that route

Well here’s a funny one. It turns out I played Reaper of Souls in 2015. I went to go look in my account and yes I’ve played it.

It’s like a blank to me. I thought I played normal D3 only. I can’t even remember what happens in the expansion.

I don’t think I ever hit level 70 on PC…

I did on PS4, but I was only going for my platinum. I’d consider playing again with a necromancer build, but I don’t have the character…

Free game then! Score

I wonder if I should play it again…

It’s so tough! There are so many games.

The nice thing is that if you finished the campaign to the end of act 5, you dont need to play it again.

The draw of seasons is to jump straight into the end game content with a new character. So if you just play a bit, then so be it. You can easily play this game as a chill filler between your other games when you need a bit of dungeon running.

If you already own it, no cost (except some of your time) in giving it a go and seeing how it grabs you. Treat it like that 1 hour tryout thread that was around here a while back.

That’s a good idea, thanks @Deadlypinecone!

Seasons have this Haedrig’s Gift mechanic which lets you get up and running pretty quickly. You can play through the whole season journey pretty quickly nowadays. Sometime after that I usually get sick of the grind and move on to something else.

Let me know if you want to run together?

You level faster when you run in a party.

Thanks @SIGSTART. I’m thinking about it. I shouldn’t really play it because I’ve played it so much before and I’ve got so many other games. I’ll let you know if I do want to play it.

I must say I havent played in a while, its the only reason my 360 is still in the lounge. love running rifts though. My wife finished act IV in two days of solid play. hasnt finished act V, but together we are in act III.

I play as a crusader in solo and a Barb in duel with her as a crusader.

She usually does that circling hammer thing to clear a room and a run in and finish the gogo’s off.
Lots of fun

I haven’t played since November last year. The biggest problem is all my characters’ stashes and inventories are full and I can’t be bothered to figure out what to sell… So I just don’t touch the game anymore. It’s a shane, as I adore it.

On xbox I created a new profile then played co-op and gave my stuff to my new profile to store for me
