In all honesty - the expansion was fun to play once. The seasons was fun the first few times and now its the same dog different tree feeling. I stop playing a game the moment I start watching movies or tv shows on my tablet when I game. I was doing that the whole time with D3 after season 4/5 ish
I’ve got between 200 and 300 hours in Diablo III. Stopped playing before the expansion was released however.
Hmmm do I want to do this to myself again? Part of me is excited to play the game again after so many years but it takes up so much time and I already have so many other games in my backlog.
The nice thing is that if you finished the campaign to the end of act 5, you dont need to play it again.
The draw of seasons is to jump straight into the end game content with a new character. So if you just play a bit, then so be it. You can easily play this game as a chill filler between your other games when you need a bit of dungeon running.
If you already own it, no cost (except some of your time) in giving it a go and seeing how it grabs you. Treat it like that 1 hour tryout thread that was around here a while back.
Seasons have this Haedrig’s Gift mechanic which lets you get up and running pretty quickly. You can play through the whole season journey pretty quickly nowadays. Sometime after that I usually get sick of the grind and move on to something else.
Thanks @SIGSTART. I’m thinking about it. I shouldn’t really play it because I’ve played it so much before and I’ve got so many other games. I’ll let you know if I do want to play it.
I must say I havent played in a while, its the only reason my 360 is still in the lounge. love running rifts though. My wife finished act IV in two days of solid play. hasnt finished act V, but together we are in act III.
I play as a crusader in solo and a Barb in duel with her as a crusader.
She usually does that circling hammer thing to clear a room and a run in and finish the gogo’s off.
Lots of fun
I haven’t played since November last year. The biggest problem is all my characters’ stashes and inventories are full and I can’t be bothered to figure out what to sell… So I just don’t touch the game anymore. It’s a shane, as I adore it.
