Damn, not this kak again so early in the season. :expressionless: Iā€™m sorry.

I see the same thing happened to @Munage - no sign of times on Stage 1, but there you both are on Stage 2 - with a 15-minute Stage 1 time added :frowning: I honestly donā€™t know why this happens. I canā€™t manually adjust times or anything sadly. Weā€™re going to have to chalk it up to some sort of weird ā€œtechnical infringement penaltyā€.

No worries. I didnā€™t have a chance of winning. Its just a bit annoying.

Man, did half of the run yesterday afternoon but never got to the 2nd half the evening. not a great start. On the upside I never got to do the 10km in a damn mini, Iā€™m sure that probably felt like a 16km XD.

Yay! Weā€™ve seen the back of the snow and ice of Monte Carlo. Thirteen drivers got starts in Round 1 and subsequently scored points, with nine classified finishers.

Our Monte Carlo winner was :1st_place_medal: @Boogey, 3 minutes clear of :2nd_place_medal: @aldyr in P2, who in turn was a full 4 minutes ahead of P3 @WarRack101.

@the9avenger9 was not far behind, finishing P4, just 30 seconds off the podium. After our 0.003 split at the the end of Stage 1, @LazyDemoni quickly left me way behind and finished P5, some 45 seconds ahead of me. And had it not been for @Munageā€™s Stage 1 blonde moment he would have finished ahead of WarRack. As it happened, he finished in P7, the last of the drivers over the line at the end of Stage 12.

Having crashed out on Stage 10 after running up in P5 until then, @Beo is classified P8, with @oltman in P9. Unclassified but still scoring a point for their efforts despite DNFing: @Dragonic, @Deadlypinecone, @czc, and @murfle.

Normal service has been resumed at the top of the Championship table after the first round, with Boogey taking an early 3 point lead over Aldyr.

Oof Iā€™m still higher than Olt despite DNFing. Cruel cruel game.

I might have come in last on this, but Iā€™ll bet none of you have ever used an e-brake on an icy road to pull into a garage.

Yeah, youā€™d win that challenge easily. Letā€™s see how you go when we get to snowy Sweden in Round 6. Another chance for you to show off your virtual snow and ice driving skills.

My ā€˜skillsā€™ donā€™t translate to analogue stick very well.

It was funny, for some reason someone on our tea break today was saying he misses his old Mini, followed by ā€œyou canā€™t roll thoseā€.

I burst out laughing.

That feeling you get when the first few stages SUUUUCK, and then you get your first green sector. And then you finish a whole stage in the greenā€¦ Only to realise you are the only one to have thus far finishedā€¦

Also, a friendly tip to the farmers from Wales: please use your gate posts to construct your post and rail fences with. Whatever matchsticks you use for the rails are too flimsy. And your freaking gate posts can stop the Titanic.

Finally, I noticed my navigator kept telling me to look out for ā€œtitansā€ and asking me to ā€œthree liftā€ and ā€œfour liftā€ So I lifted and it helped.

Damn, I should be loving these cars but I am struggling to get a set up comfortable with me for Wales.

I feel like the rear keeps wanting to overtake the front, thus causing me to oversteer.

I find that it helps to modulate throttle extensively. You will also be using it to control your steering.

Do not go all out or lift off too suddenly. Sometimes it helps to keep a small amount of power on, to maintain traction.

Thatā€™s about all I know, I still get caught out. After the first service, my car was also sliding all over the place, making me wonder if I confirmed my tyre change :worried:

[edit] I donā€™t know how to drive the Alpine, itā€™s rear engined.

Which car are you trying?

Iā€™ve tried them all while outside of the official space, currently working on the Fiat, trying to resist the urge to go to the Ekskort.

I do have a setup tune i threw together last night, with the Opel Kadett, just for gamepad, if you want. Still need to respect the loud pedal, but itā€™s way more drive-able than the stock setup.
