I enjoyed Thor Ragnarok because I really enjoy Taika Waititi’s movies. But MCU in general has lost it’s sheen. I wholeheartedly agree with Damon’s statement. The fact that you now need to watch a series on an exclusive platform to keep up with the MCU is taking it too far.
I mean, Civil War should have been the first clue that the MCU won’t follow the comics too closely.
I don’t always read comics but I at least read the Civil War saga.
I also liked Ragnarok. It was a nice change of theme from the previous two movies and I think it only worked because of the first two movies setting the stage for it. The last one however just didn’t do it for me. Too much comedy and it felt forced.
Because the SA Disney+ has no idea what my email address is and rather use phone numbers as an account login, I keep getting reminded about Disney+ in the US… via email.
This system is so dumb… I am already subscribed!!!

I like how Disney+ has collections and how they’re organised by their release order.
So something new started happening whereby upon signing in and selecting profile, on all my devices, I get this “Something went wrong” screen. Is anyone else having issues? I think this has been happening for a day or two at least now.
*Fixed: turns out the user profile was causing it.
I dont mind the sms OTP system and a phone linked to my account, rather than an email address… But gosh darnit just make sure you send the freaking OTP when I request it!!! Been trying the whole morning to get the code and nothing. No SMS, no robocall, nothing…

Yeah… I’ve waited for ages before to a point where they came through the following morning and I thought it was someone trying to access my account.
I noticed that the forced portrait mode menus thing has been fixed on the iPad at least. Still bugged by the lack of search and tagging for future things. And the poor data and information on the program screens - actors, run times, etc.
Did you know that if you cannot sign in to Disney + you cannot get to your account settings, and thus you cannot cancel. Clever.

We really struggle with the Disney+ app on our tv. It takes about 5 minutes for shows to start playing. I will have to try reinstalling and see if that helps.
Strange, since the update received on our Android TV in November, we’ve had no issue with Disney+ ever. I watched many series and went through the whole phase 1 to 3 of Marvel movies without ever having buffering or any issues. Plus my daughter loves Bluey and Fancy Nancy.
We’ve got a Samsung tv with their Samsung OS, whatever that’s called again.
Some shows work fine but others not.
For instance Buffy the Vampire Slayer loads fine every time. But the latest season of American Horror Story really struggles. Modern Family also really struggles.

I remember there being some discussion around here with regards to the SA version of the app and other regions, with the latter being the superior version. I happened to visit Disney+ with my VPN connected and didn’t realise, to my surprise it recognised this and did not allow me to log in. Has anyone managed to circumvent this?
Not on the web app, no. You can get around it by using the other APK for Android if you have access to it, or by installing it via another region.
