Do you use services like howlongtobeat?

Do you use services like howlongtobeat to find out um, how long a game should take to beat? I had a look there after seeing the @Blazzok had already finished Transistor and the times look pretty spot on.

Apart from using it to find out how long it should take have you ever posted your own completion time to help others out?

I’ve used it a few times to check out if a prospective game can be beaten relatively quickly or if I shouldn’t bother because it would take too long.

I also never posted any completion time once I did finish a game. It would be just another account to register.

I often check that site yeah. It’s helpful to gauge how far I am with a game or how much potential playtime something I might buy has.

Definitely. I will always check HLTB before starting a game.

I have never ever used a service like this, I tend to take my time with games even if it is a short one I tend to be at least an hour or 2 over the times. Cos I explore and click and check out each and every corner - normally when I am not ready yet and get my arse handed to me

Nope never used it, if i would guess from the way I play games, the times would probably not be of any use to me, unless it’s like COD or something extremely linear.

I use it when I’m not sure what to play… Then I check some of the games in my library against that and try to knock off some of the shorter games first.

I check it frequently. Most recently, it helped me to know how far I still have to go in Half-Life: Opposing Force.
I used to update my game times on the site, but haven’t done that in a while. I rarely visit the site, I use Enhanced Steam to show me the details on the steam website:

I’ve checked HLtB fairly often when it comes to deciding on a game. It’s nice to know what you’re in for in terms of time commitment.

I was not even aware that such a site exists!

I play games to relax so I won’t bother with using it.
