huge hugs @Shrike
At least something went well for us for once, we got my mums watch on time, so I have to just wrap it and hide it.
She still thinks that she is getting her old one back

Good Friday morning!
Happy Birthday to Mom of the House Church, the First of Her Name, The Nurse, Queen of The Mountain, the Waterfront and the False Bay, Khaleesi of the Joining of the Two Oceans, Protector of the Realm, Lady Regent of the Western Province, Breaker of Watches and Mother of @Wyvern
The irony is she is like me, we hate our birthdays. But we managed to con her and give her the watch she really wanted. Gave us a speech about wasting money on her and then I kakked her out told her she deserves something nice!
She loved the watch. It was a good surprise. She ended up enjoying the day/night even tho she refused to let me do the cooking. But whilst helping out, I managed to burn my thumb moer toe and another burn on my index finger.
Morning people of the palace, may you have a great day. Im off to go do a 10 hour shift… at least not with the useless manager
I thought we all did?
SOme people love their bdays, I dont understand it either
Apart from kids, I cannot understand why.
Me neither
Happy birthday @Wyvern! I don’t hate birthdays, and neither should any of you! They’re your day to be spoiled and praised for a bit, even if it’s only in a virtual world. So soak up the goodness!
Hehehe not mind yet and this year im actually planning on going away for my bday altho we are going in end of sept not nov but free accommodation in wilderness i will take it. First holiday away in a very long time.
Tryna plan a little bit of a date night with my wife, despite the kids being around, and I was just wondering: does anyone have any cheap wine recommendations?
I usually buy Tangled Tree’s shiraz by the box. It comes in bottles too.
They claim a lower carbon footprint.
They’re good. Prefer the Chocolate Cabernet Sauvignon though.
I’m too afraid to try it.
Chocolate and berries/grapes are a no-go combo for me.
edit: Also, I don’t know what the “spicy” on the shiraz is all about. There’s nothing spicy about it. washes down habanero sauce covered chicken with a sip of shiraz
Never heard of it, might give it a try. I’ll stop at Checkers’ wine cellar and see, I normally go to Wolftrap as my go-to.
That was going to be my recommendation.

Busy day yesterday at the shop. Did well, was tired last night. Managed to finally hear back from MotorSports SA, they just need updated reports from the therapists but dad’s officially being paid out either a monthly sum or lump sum for permanent disability.
As well as gotten an email approving the repairs in the office from all the damage.
So yay!
Also off to work shortly. Just hoping that Ghost Recons works tonight that we can pew pew a bit
Good morrow gentlemen, ladies, non-binaries! Have a glorious day of Satur.
