Don’t Assume My Topic Thread

Step 1 done, pacemaker is in but off. Step 2 is this Wednesday, where the doc breaks my heart and switches the pacemaker on to take over. Step 3? Well, will have to see how many steps there are after, I am very excited to have a semi normal life back

Yeah, I do use Calendar and Trello for most of my personal planning.

See, that’s all fair and well if you know exactly where you want to go and just want the quickest route there, which Maps seems to excel at.

Hmm… I don’t see either of those Google options on the Play Store. I did see TripIt along with Wanderlog which I am playing around with.

There are certain routes that I want to travel on and not just take the shortest/quickest way there. After all, the holiday starts when you leave home, not when you arrive at your destination.

For once the heart picture to like a post is appropriate.

Yeah, the Google Trip was closed. Google Travel is an online, browser-based tool now.

If you sign in there with a Google account you should be able to Create a New Trip:

Oh yay afternoon people of the palace, it has been a manic monday, at least it is over now

Just managed to get a shower in before they turn the water off - huge pipeburst and sinkhole in the street behind us

All this prime night time loadshedding, I am so sick of sleeping so much.

Also, morning all.

Think I over did it this weekend and tweaked my back.

Morning all.

:grinning::wave:

It’s been pretty much 24 hours of showers here in Joburg. And very little sign of a let up today. Wet roads, shitty drivers, potholes, blocked storm water drains, flooding in low lying areas, failing traffic lights, load shedding. These are genuinely #ThirdWorldProblems.

I actually couldn’t find a good pic from Back to the Future because image search was flooded with pics of the replica!

I don’t see your point. I boiled the kettle for tea on the gas stove.

I are tea drinker.

@SIGSTART I’m curious if the networks have noticed any differences in internet traffic during these higher stages of loadshedding maybe more mobile use, or do enough people have solar now that it has no effect?

That’s an interesting question.

We’ve looked at network performance for during load-shedding vs not load-shedding and the results were interesting.

Based on this I would imagine data usage is lower, but best not to assume. We’ll ask!
