Good afternoon all.
So I’ve been booked to go to a mine in Malawi. Fly to Lilongwe and sleep over, next day 8 hour drive to mine. Spend 2 days onsite inspecting equipment and confirming scope, then repeat backwards. Four days of travel for two days of inspection and meetings is nuts.

I am also getting pushback from accounting regarding my expense claim as they want all the expenses that were charged in a foreign currency to be recorded as such with the exchange rate at the time, all fair and well, but that is not the same as the amount that my bank reflects on my statement once the transaction has been processed. So it looks as though I will be the one out of pocket.
