On tv they always manage in 20 minutes, I think because of the elevation here in Joburg it takes longer.

So hello everyone 
I am alive
To give you all an idea, as you know as a kid I got my hand in an electric mincer.
so 30 years later I have had to do some major reconstructive surgery.
The doc ended up doing 6 surgeries on my hand, 2 for serious carpal tunnel (that I never realised I was suffering from) 2 z plasties where they relieved tension on the scar that was on my palm - its still there but one has now left a new scar that looks a bit like Harry Potter’s! Then on my middle finger they shaved a bit of bony growth off to help with some minor issues. The big one was the final one, they broke and fixated my index finger at the middle knuckle of the finger and now I am pointing straight. I still cant pick up a pen or even hold one - I have to relearn to use muslces and tendons that hasnt been used in 30 years.
It was a fun journey, would not advise it! The pain was at least manageable, I now just have a bit of pain in my wrist after using my pc for work for the first time in 5 weeks (I have been banned from typing cannot use my index finger until they give the all clear).
Physio has started and I have my own personal racing stripes on my index finger to help train the muscles. (I am adding photos but left the gruesome ones off)

Man, did the bronchitis knock the stuffing out of me. Wow. Still not 100% over it, but miles better than I was a few days ago.
Good to see you doing so well after the ops @Wyvern. Hope the recovery continues to be smooth and as painless as possible.

Hahah hey all
Sadly not painless, just a halfday on my laptop is killing my hand and wrist - the scars are sensitive still, even though we treat it with castor oil patches overnight to keep the scars soft. The scary part is that it was over 40 stitches and I now have a lightning bolt scar on my hand
I dont use my index finger to type with at all. mainly since I cant bend the finger down that far yet and also not allowed to put pressure on it.
