I think most North Americans make pumpkin pie from canned filling.

You would be correct sir.
I am just worried about the pumpkins’ stringiness. I’m not sure how much blending they may require, but we’ll see. I’m looking forward to it.
I am considering a baked pumpkin cheesecake.
I don’t know how heat affects pumpkin and their associated pie creation, but prolonged blending will definitely heat it up.
Smaller pumpkins, blending a little at a time, adding a bit of water if needed seem to be good suggestions.
Butternut is better for sure, purees a lot easier, you just have to watch the water content.
I am considering coming down there and eating said pumpkin cheesecake!
And good morning to you all too!
Well hello there!
You are most welcome friend!
One of our family values is to have an open door.
Just beware all the thieves doing the rounds these days, you don’t want them to stroll in and empty your house.
At least they’ll leave with a smile on their face and a full belly.
Any other place they’d leave with a belly full of lead.
Greetings of the day to you and have a good day further. *
