Don’t Assume My Topic Thread

Have you signed some kind of contract to make this institute your registered tax practitioner? Tax practitioners do not need your efiling details. You can register them as your practitioner on your profile to give shared access to your profile. So yes, does sound a little dodgy. To me anyways.

Wow that taxtim looks interesting. Might just give that a go!

I would also like to know how it goes. I am interested to hand my taxes to a practitioner as well, just want to know how much it will cost and what payment structure they use.

No contract or nothing has been signed, I have simply reached out to them as as I saw their building around our neighborhood.

He first would like to assess my situation prior to determining any fee structure.

Yeaaaaaaah, not by logging in on your behalf, he’s not. Ask him what specific docs he needs, but this is giving me red flag vibes.

Edit: Remember, on efiling you can change the banking details of where your tax return will be paid into. :red_square: :red_square: :red_square: :red_square: :red_square:

I forgot to give you input on what the accountant here at work said.

He claims they shouldn’t need your logon details, they can see your profile if they have your ID as a tax practitioner.
