OMW! That looks like a heavy impact crash. So glad that the safety cell and airbags worked and they’re both okay. But man, that’s an ugly accident. Couldn’t have been nice for you and your mom getting the news either.
Okay, now that’s some good news to see. Strength to him for a speedy, solid recovery.
Yea I am okish, just a little triggered by it. Mum on the other hand is not ok at all, and I have no idea how to help her. Just managed to get her to bed after giving her some Phenergan to hopefully knock her out to sleep.
At least both my aunt and uncle are ok, they might need to do a hip replacement on him later on, but for now, he is just in critical care and not sedated or on a vent.
I think it just triggered too much for mum and she isn’t coping well at all. I’m hoping the antihistamine knocks her out and lets her sleep. I honestly don’t know how much more she can endure, and I’m running low on ways to distract her and let her deal with it all.
We have a firm believe in our family now that red cars are evil. My dad had a red bmw when I was in primary school that we were in an accident in, then my brother had a red uno, bad luck car that was. Dad’s race car was red, and he had a few accidents in it. Now my uncle’s red whatever that was …
Im calling it a sign to never ever get into a red car.
To be fair, any colour Uno is bad luck…
Glad they’re relatively okay, it could’ve been much worse! Good luck with managing your mom - parents can be harder on us than they realise.

Morning people of the palace
Im working today, so yay I get a break! (I don’t mean to be nasty but I need the distraction of the shop so I can be busy)
Hope you all have a good day.
@oltman may your father get stronger and recover fully.
And not a moment too soon, imho.
Good morning everyone
Good morning, what’s going on in here?
Facts of Movie Life #1:
If a character in a movie reveals that he/she never learned to read, you can be assured of the following:
- They will be taught to read by a mentor, usually the one they confided in.
- This will happen in montage form unless their inability to read is the central theme of the movie in which case the entire movie is a montage, just without the motivational music.
- They will never be of mediocre intelligence. Only the exceptionally gifted never learns reading in movieland.
- Once taught how to read, the non-reader will become a fanatic about books and reading.
- The non-reader will always discover a dormant talent unlocked by their fanatic reading.
- At a certain point their intellect will rival and then surpass that of their mentor, leading to conflict.
- The conflict will be resolved by the end of the movie with the mentor dying or becoming the non-reader’s love-interest.
I wonder how they read their script when they can’t read?
Urgh, couldn’t sleep any more, my back is killing me.
