Was pretty much my reaction too. 
I donāt know. Nothings confirmed so it may just be that Tom Henderson is reaching a bit here. But his rumours and leaks often pan out.
If it is real, itās most likely an EA driven idea to further monetise the game - āLike Lewisā outfit? Buy it for your character now!!ā I doubt the Codemasters folk are too thrilled with the idea.

Very disappointing! And F1 Life is going to be a microtransaction dystopian hellscape. I fear this will be the first F1 game since 2017 that I donāt get at launch.
