I got to the first town
I wont lie I am over the game, I don’t see myself completing it. I might start over in just survival mode, the story is what kills it for me, I mean the hour spent talking to grandmother or whatever her name is, drove me nuts. If they gave me the option of subtitles that I can read and skip the convo it would have been fine.
The game gets better the further you get. I think I’m pretty close to finishing chapter 2. Some things happened that were very annoying but it does become a little more stressful which is nice. It felt like I accomplished something after I survived a huge storm and covered a large area.
For some reason wolves always run away from me. I don’t even have to worry about them at all anymore. I honestly don’t know why.
I stopped playing and uninstalled the game. First, I had a bug that caused me to redo a big part which was very annoying. Then there’s this stealth section that was just pure frustration.
Not my cup of tea.
Really expected more from the game.
Very unfortunate indeed. I feel bad that you’ve had such a poor experience. I also would have suggested you try the survival (sandbox) experience but I can see how this would have tainted your experience with it.

I always wanted to try it. It’s just not for me.
Its on sale on steam for 40 bucks at the moment. anyone wanting to play but don’t have it just gimme a shout, i’m happy to gift

So I finished Episode 1…
I have to say I’m enjoying having purpose…I got bored quick with the EA version which was the “see how many days you can not die”… Not into those days really…And I don’t mind admitting I’m less skilled in those resource-managing type games (my fiance and I occasionally play Don’t Starve together and i’m USELESS…altho im much better than her at FIGHTING the various things she will absolutely rape me in just surviving…and she’s by her own admittance not a very good gamer 
) than I am in almost all other standard gaming genres.
But yea…Ep 1 complete
Also…yea I’m playing it with her so will be playing it in bursts, hopefully can finish it in time.

I was rather miffed that you lose your gear/progress after ep 2 (i had spent 5+ days doing nothing but curing wolf pelts so we can get the awesome coat…only for the ep to end a day later and you start ep3 as someonee else)
I assume we doing all the eps that are out?
Oooh! This might be a good use for the gold/silver/bronze badges that Discourse comes with. One episode = bronze, more episodes = silver, all episodes = gold?

According to the wiki: Episode three was released October 22, 2019. Episodes four and five, to complete the story, will follow later.

Yea that’s fair enough… Although I cant say apart from the 1st room that I stealthed through it. I was able to run from cover to cover but I do understand your point.
Just be happy you didnt then push on and get the WORST TYPE OF ESCORT QUEST (carrying someone and putting them down all the time)…and then have to repeat it 3 more times …
word of warning in ep3. don’t place stuff to cure in front of the fireplace of the community hall…when you finish the 1 mission part it literally removes everything in front of the fire…
