Geek hobbies other than gaming

Did you knock Stryper??

I saw them live in 2005.

Hahaha, yeah I did! Not much of a fan, to be honest. But then hair metal doesn’t do it for me in general. Still, would’ve been cool to see them live. Seeing them live doesn’t necessarily consitute “liking” then.

Ya, that’s the thing, I prefer hair metal

My brother and I went early, got awesome spots (standing room), then at the last second, these two bald guys in leather jackets parked themselves right in front of us. Kinda ruined the show, but still enjoyed it.

Why is it always two bald guys in leather jackets? They ruined Maiden for me in 1995. I suppose it was Blaze era Maiden so I didn’t really miss much.

So true! SImon Pegg is a hero

All of my hobbies are either gaming related or work related.

Of my various interests, I most regularly play boardgames — one weekend a month or so.

We’ve also occasionally played D&D — whenever we can get the band back together and all that.

Then there are many interests I don’t get to pursue regularly for one reason or another: audio and video streaming and podcasting (seeL Let’s Talk Geek), website design, development and generally messing with new web tech (like this site), watching and reading science-fiction and fantasy.

I play Action Cricket on the side. I never played cricket much, just in the street. Then started playing Action Cricket 2/3 years ago, and I’ve been playing every season so far non stop.
I’ve also started doing Obstacle Course Races 2 years ago. So out of my fitness level but so fun.
