Yeah I was actually browsing the Xbox store last night and saw it, and frankly, surprised! Those were some great games back in the day.
Saw it on Game Pass app this morning and immediately downloaded. Played the first two stages of Heretic. So much nostalgia

Yeah a LONG time. I used to get my computer club together at my house in the late 90s, when I was a teacher and we connected our PCs together with serial cables to play 1v1.

Never played heretic but hexen 2 with graphics acceleration looked amazing back then, think it came out before or after quake 2

FYI the PC version supports gyro aming with Dualsense controller. It’s pretty neat
