Over 10 years I spent R53k if you convert the dollars to rands. That is about R440 a month.

R25K
The enjoyment I have gained from all the games purchased makes it worth every penny.
That’s less than 15 switch 2 games
Mine is $2320.09 (almost R44k) since the launch of Half-Life 2 in 2004 — so going on 21 years.
However, as you pointed out, that is a direct conversion based on the nominal exchange rate right now and the rand was muuuuuuch stronger for most of that time.
$4200 since Half-Life 2.
$3057.72 about ~R61000
$1220.93 about R23k. Not too bad. First game on my Steam Account is Metro 2033 in 2011.
I’m too scared to look.
lol so many of us seem to have started with HL2.
Yup, same here. Bought a GPU that came with it, but it wasn’t released yet. Also came with Half-Life and friends to hold us over. I remember thinking “What the heck is this crap? I want a disc! Who would ever want a digital only game?”
pretty sure the orange box and HL2 was when steam really started rolling out, I know I only started using steam with orange box.
