I know this is a long shot. Any chance anyone on here as brought in a car from Namibia?
I have only begun the google searches, but I thought I would see if there are some real world advice on here first.

Your best chance would be to ask at MyBroadband.
Yeah I just stopped being lazy and did a little search myself. Seems they charge you about 70% of the cars value if its above 200 000 to import. Well 71% now with 15% VAT.
registering it here would be a nightmare, same scenario with botswana and lesotho cares, i think the criteria is that you have to work in that country for 5 years and prove that you owned it for 5 years also then there’s the 40% duty fee and 15% VAT, if i remember there is a loophole for some vehicles eg a rx7 is easier to import because it is deemed a special or significant vehicle (dont know the correct term ) but a skyline GTR isnt etc.
are you buying it from a stranger or are you taking it over from a family member?
A friend of mine imported a subaru from Japan and to lessen taxes he registered it in swaziland and his mom renews it for him every year
Was a deal of a friend that is selling a Fortuner. Trade is around R250 000 here, can get it from him for R200 000. So for the purpose of the deal, yes its a stranger. if I could have brought it in for 50 000 - 60 000 I could have still made money on it. But the imports are just too high.

interesting thread
EDIT
And here
If you know someone in Nam, you can probably buy it there and keep the Nam plates and stuff, and just have someone in Nam renew it for you every year and send the license to you.
