My brother snapped a few with his 10mm lens. Also, Mars looks amazing.
My wife got some pics too, I’ll post some of them here when I get a chance.
I don’t have a camera other than my phone, so didn’t take any pics. I enjoyed it in the moment and was amazed at how much clearer the night sky was, even in a dense city! The moon was super bright before the eclipse started and Mars felt all too real and within reach of some great sci-fi adventures. We endured the cold weather and just appreciated the grandeur of the moment. I don’t think I’ve seen such a beautiful night sky in years!
Also had a good look last night. Marvelled at the clear milky way we could see.
My wife took some photo’s, but it didn’t come out that great.
I know right? I was thinking about the Mars mission people looking up at this. “You go past the moon and then straight on to Mars!”
I just managed to take a picture that came out like a tiny red dot.
My two best shots.
Couldn’t get an angle with Mars any closer to the Moon:
2 second exposure time on this one caused it to blur the Moon as it moves:
We probably had one of the best spots to view it from, not living in a city, but I was too lazy to stand up and go and look.
But why?
I was out with my telephoto lens, but I didn’t really get any good shots. I was trying to get a good one with Mars, but I couldn’t get anything decent, so I gave up and just watched.
Edit: not to mention, the moon was pretty far away
Pretty awesome. You don’t see that, living in the city. Can barely see the stars some nights.
