Mechanics for new players
Mafia is a simple game……
The mafia has a goal to kill every townie and the townies need to stay alive to be able to lynch the mafia.
One catch though, the town has no clue who is in the town and only the mafia know who the mafia are.
Each person is given a role, but only you know your role. It is up to you if you would like to reveal your role, but remember doing so puts a target on your back. You also run the risk of another person counter claiming your role and making you look like the liar.
The game runs in phases – night and day.
Day time, everybody can talk, lie and accuse. Night time only the Mafia can talk.
Should the players decide they have found scum, they can lynch a member during the day. Lynching is done by ##vote @wyvern and to unvote ##unvote @wyvern.
Once a lynch has been successful there is to be no talking and we enter the night phase.
Each player will then PM me their intentions for the night and no talking in the thread.
The Godfather will order one of his members to kill somebody at night.
That is it in a nut shell.
The roles I will be putting into the randomiser are:
Mafia
Godfather (head of mob)
Goon (acts on GF’s orders – can be more than one so watch out)
Town
Doctor (choses to go to a player at night and will heal them if attacked – has 1 self heal)
Lookout (sees who visited the playe they selected)
Escort (role blocks selected player)
Sheriff (finds out if player is sus or non sus – GF comes back as not sus)
Vigilante (has 3 bullets and can kill a person at night)
Vanilla Townie (you are just a townie)
This Game is based on the Harry Potter series – characters are at random so Harry Potter is not definitely a Townie and Voldem…. I mean You Know Who is not a guaranteed Mafia member

The bang echoed from the great hall, everything started to fade out of focus. Was the castle under attack, was peeves playing a practical joke on the students, who was screaming. Was Harry Potter returning to help fight off the death eaters in the castle…
Everything fades as somebody starts to drag you.
You blank out…
You open your eyes and see a group of about in a strange room, where is this place. It’s not a classroom.
Some people are tending to others, some are chatting in a huddle…
You blank out again…
You wake up, this time fully.
The room has changed a bit.
