Konami are a bunch of idiots, people dont want metal gear tabletop, survive, pachinko machines etc. they want proper mgs titles, the community has been appealing for a metal gear solid remake for so long already but they turn a blind eye, people appealed to square for a ff7 remake and its being made, to capcom for a resident evil 2 remake and its also coming but konami is like our government they never listen instead they’re just digging themselves into a hole

Going to be a hard sell without Hideo Kojima. To be honest, I don’t think we’ll see another MGS title again. Even if we do, it might be complete garbage without Kojima

if konami is not up to it they can even outsource it, MGS twin snakes on the Gamecube was a Metal gear solid remake developed on the MGS 2 engine so they can just give it to bluepoint as the basis (they are competent enough just look what they did to shadow of the colossus) to upgrade it for modern consoles.

Has nothing to do with their abilities, and everything to do with who owns the rights to produce and publish. Konami holds the publishing rights for the MG franchise, but Kojima has to produce it. Kojima productions dropped Konami as a publisher and signed up with Sony. It’s more of a legal minefield than a technical problem.

the studio was not officially formed until 2005. However, Konami retroactively referred to Kojima’s earlier productions as belonging to the studio.

But is a Metal Gear title produced by Konami without the involvement of Kojima or Kojima Productions a true Metal Gear title? Konami pretty much owns the franchise, the engine and everything…it’s a little complicated

it depends, some franchises do become better with some fresh eyes, look at gears its still amazing even without cliffy b’s involvement
