MEW Hardware Challenge - Gaming in the lounge

So, imagine if you will. You just bought a brand new sofa, and big ass 55" UHD TV. But gasp, you don’t have any console to push this to the limits. Fear not, because you would much rather play PC games.

So the challenge is this; put together the best possible home entertainment PC you can put in your lounge and play some games one. Your need for this machine is, it must be able to play games, watch streaming video and play music on the TV. It can have any specs you want and what you think should be necessary to get the job done.

More details about the build:

  • Your setup must include the entire system and case
  • You must include peripheral input devices as well
  • You already have the 55" UHD TV in the living room, so no need for a screen.
  • Be creative, perhaps a full blown system is not really necessary

Let us see who can come up with the best bang-for-your-buck setup for the budding living room gamer.
