Just get a Series X.
World Update 11 is out, and it’s an all Canada edition update. Cities that have received the biggest visual improvements include:
- Halifax
- Sherbrooke
- Abbotsford
- Saskatoon
- Toronto
- Montreal
- Regina
- Calgary
- Victoria
- St. Catharines
- Laval
- Vancouver
@murfle can you show us where your OG home is now?
Also a trio of new mission trios:
- Three bush trips (Vancouver Island, Newfoundland, and the Canadian Rockies)
- Three landing challenges (Castlegar, Barkerville, and Calgary)
- Three discovery flights (Vancouver, Montreal, and Toronto).
Looks magnificent. Visiting Canada is still on my Travel Bucket List. Until then I guess the aerial views from MSFS will have to do.
Doesn’t seem like it. The list completely skipped over my whole province.
Yet they got BOTH Regina and Saskatoon…

Big and very unexpected Flight Sim reveal at the Xbox Showcase:
And no, it’s not an expansion or DLC for the current Flight Simulator. It’s a bona vide standalone sequel to the current game (the one that was originally touted as going to get at least ten years of support).
Asobo were quick to post some answers to the flood of posts that went up on social media after the trailer appeared.
Will Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 be a completely standalone sequel, or will it also be offered as a paid update for existing players?
Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is a standalone simulator and the next-generation sequel to Microsoft Flight Simulator that launched in 2020. Current aircraft and airports that are in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020), as well as virtually all Marketplace add-ons, will be supported in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024.
What kind of support can Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020) players expect to see once Flight Simulator 2024 has been released?
We will continue to deliver our Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020) Roadmap which has content ranging from Aircraft and Avionics Updates, Sim Updates, City and World Updates, and also the free Dune DLC. We will continue to support Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020) post the Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 launch.
Oh, and this…
In partnership with Legendary and Warner Bros. Entertainment, Microsoft Flight Simulator has created an authentically detailed House Atreides Ornithopter. Master the complex controls of one of the most dynamic aircraft ever conceived as you pilot your ornithopter through awe-inspiring locations across the mysterious desert planet of Arrakis.
See Dune: Part Two in theaters and play the expansion November 3, 2023.
I did think of it right away! It might be either Mach Loop or Rainbow alley, but either way, the idea is super cool!
I really like, what seem to be, scenarios. This will really help in delivering that role-playing aspect.
Lost track of the current game updates while we wait for the updated game version to release. See that World Update 17(!) came out yesterday. Various updates to Ireland and the UK in it.

Pre-purchase Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 on Steam
Purchase prices are gobsmackling expensive with no differences between Steam and the Xbox Store. Another sign that there’s a push to get more subscribers signed up to Game Pass.
Game Pass subscribers will get access to the Standard Edition. Presumably you’ll be able to upgrade from Standard with the purchase of the upgraded editions as add-ons, but these are not currently showing as available for purchase.
