IGN reports that Microsoft, Nintendo, and Sony won't be part of E3 2023 or even have a presence at the Los Angeles Convention Center. This is not the comeback that E3 would have wanted.
I guess this is the end of E3 as we know it. It has lost a lot of its prestige throughout the years, but with all the big 3 doing their own thing, there is little to no reason to get excited for E3 again. It’ll hurt ticket sales and the overall viability of the show.
RIP E3…we knew ye well
They may as well just host it for indies at this point.
Console releases have been the meat and bread of E3. With all the major consoles ditching it I agree that it looks to be the end of the road.
Next year it will be E2, then E1, and nothing 2026
