Ok so my basic farm is up, no automation at all

Ok, I have automated backups going.

I also noticed the java client updated to 1.18.1, but the server hasnā€™t been updated. It still connects fine. Please let me know if thereā€™s any issues connecting from consoles.

I did hear that the view distance will render better on 1.18.1, so Iā€™m hopeful that it will look less murky in the distance on my PC. :slight_smile:

  • World fog now starts further away from the player, to make distant terrain more visible
  • Instead of applying fog as a spherical volume it is now applied as a cylindrical volume

There is a log4j vulnerability that affects Minecraft. Iā€™ve put in a temporary fix so thereā€™s no need to be concerned.

I am not finding diamond at all. Been spelunking and finding a span of Lapis, iron, copper, and red stone but no diamonds.

How far down are you going? There is less of a likelihood of finding diamonds exposed to the air. Chip away at the sides of caves by 1 or 2 blocks as you move along. Youā€™ll find them.

Im just happy I have now found a village near me, stole beetroot and potatoes, as well as traded some carrots for gems.

Managed to also find a forest closer to me to use for wood, and as I chop trees down I replace them with saplings, made more sheep pens and now have sheep in almost rainbow colours - red, blue, cyan, orange, the rest I will still do - so please shout if you guys need anything. From food to wool is all yours.

Iā€™ve got a bunch of dye colors if you need to color the sheep. It would be great to have a steady source of wool and even more so in different coolers.

The last thing you guys need is to worry about farming and food.

I have loads of hay, potatoes, beetroot and carrots.
I also built an automatic KFC that gives you cooked chicken (not fried, so its healthy!).
I also have large pens full of cows, sheep, pigs and chicken.
