Minecraft - the best selling game of all time

With pleasure! For a fee of course :smiling_imp:

That’s awesome!

We should also record everyone’s co-ordinates of their bases.

Okay so installed the latest version of Java, and this time the game crashed in less than 3 minutes. So yeah guess the choice has been made, I will not be joining in on some Minecraft goodness.

We’ll do a netherhub so we can safely use portals to get between each other’s bases as listed in the rules

Are you running those graphics mods? Does it give you any kind of error? :frowning:

You got an Xbox don’cha?

I am running no mods at all. Currently connecting via the old Minecraft launcher with the Java edition. I’ll try the Minecraft installation on Game Pass as well to see if that makes a difference

I see you tried logging in with a slightly different username (missing a letter) so I whitelisted that one too

Jip that was the Game Pass Hammer, which is similar but different. So far looks to be much more stable

@DieGrootHammer you can play perfectly fine with any Bedrock edition as well. These run on Android, WIndows, XBOX, Switch etc. If you have any hassles with Java then I suggest trying those.

And now to the more serious problem here. You have crashing in Assetto Corsa and Minecraft when nobody else does. I dont think this is a software problem anymore

I mean, you did whitelist us, obviously we’d show up.

Well, Minecraft on Game Pass is working perfectly fine, so I guess it’s something to do with the outdated launcher. Seems like outdated games, like the old Minecraft launcher and outdated Assetto Corsa that is crashing. My PC only likes new games it seems…

Well thats some good news! Looking forward to MEW City!!!

@murfle is there a way to use more /home points? I would like to add a /home to each player’s base so I can come visit for tea!

Or something like PUBLIC home points?

As stated in an earlier post, we will make a hub in the nether to make travel between bases quick and safe.

There is a ‘warp’ function that we may be able to utilize. I think it is something like placing a sign (like at spawn) with a person’s name, and you can smack it to teleport you. That is, if I’m understanding it correctly. Then it can be up to the player to decide if they want unexpected visitors

I still think we should make public our coordinates and let people traverse the land to get there and make an expedition of it, this makes the exploration nature of the game more of a thing and instead just have a central hub which we can travel or warp to.

But that’s just me.

There’s plenty of time to do the exploring. The nether hub thing will not really happen any time soon.

But nether portals are a legit traveling mechanism. And exploring the nether to get to another persons place can be much more nerve (nether)racking.

I mean, I could have abused my OP status and tp’d to get dark oak or ice, but rather than walk 2000 blocks, I had to go through a much more treacherous 250 blocks in the nether. I guess my point is you’re not going to stop people taking shortcuts through the nether, but you’re right, we don’t have to make it easy.

And going the Y114 route will kill your pickaxe in no time.

Appreciate the input though. These are all things we can revisit anyways. But I agree, I think the warp signs take away from things… They might be useful if we have an event or something, but they can be used as a one time thing and then removed after the event.

Just spitballin’ here

I just wanna say I would like to have that warp thingy up since I have NO SENSE of direction in games, its not a joke I get lost.

Maybe we can find you a mod that shows coordinates so you don’t have to pull up the whole F3 debug info.

Something like this?
https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/battys-ui-mod-forge

Looks like it needs this ‘forge’ thing, which I assume is a plugins manager. Someone else might be better suited to help with this… But I’m considering using this myself!

Yeah agree completely, any way shape or form of in-game warping (or travel) is fine. Be it from nether portals or otherwise. I just meant typing commands to teleport yourself or any user around the world would be game (immersion) breaking. Though I do like the “/spawn” and “/back” commands and feel they aren’t very game breaking.

But yeah, as you say, just spitballin’.

Maybe just leave them there for the idiots like me? :stuck_out_tongue:
