And any other suggested and recommended mods you and the other more experienced Minecrafters may suggest.
Maybe someone can compile a list with links to source files of these recommended mods? Make it a Wiki post and others can add to the same.

It’s only for the java version though. If you’re on bedrock, I do see there’s another one out there, but I can’t comment on if it works or not…
The Game Pass PC Edition installs the Minecraft Launcher and gives me access to both versions. I installed and tested weeks ago with the MC for Windows version, am now busy installing to test the Java Edition and some mods as well.
I did have to create a new JE username, but kept it the same as my standard GregRedd, so am asuming I’ll still be able to access the MEW Server with that?
You can now! Bedrock players get a period in front of their names so it is a separate whitelist. You can now log in with either.
Im also waiting for more info on mods.
The server has been very quiet for the past 2 weeks or so. I get there’s jobs, holidays/family stuff, PCs going poof, etc, so it is to be expected. Having played more than a full time job over December in most likelihood, I myself am a little burnt out.
That being said, I’ve started planning out some mega-builds that I’m looking forward to attempting. And with that, I am finding an ever growing need for shulker boxes and elytra.
So with that being said, time for another poll! If you don’t want to risk your valuables, leave 'em all in the ender chest and grab some iron armor and weapons from the chests at the entrance. There’s lots of potions to go around as well.

Yes, I have been very quiet the last 2 weeks with loads of other stuff and games. But keen to progress more.
Also, if you ever want to shut it down, please send me the map file!
No plans to shut down anytime soon, but I’ll certainly make the map available when that happens.
I would like to get more players though, so if anyone knows anyone else who might like to join, please let me know. I’m thinking of advertising elsewhere, just to get the numbers up…
I’ve placed my vote for my son (DesertedYew) as he’s very keen on joining in on the fight.
I’ve opted to be included if I am around as it is quite difficult to fit in multiplayer sessions with such things as family around. My time is quite limited as a result I try to make time for multiplayer on Friday (and maybe Saturday) nights from 8 pm.
Still very keen to get into Minecraft at some point. But it’s a definite “don’t wait on me” situation. I mean, when you use them high falutin’ words like “shulker boxes and elytra”, I get worried that I’ll never actually know what I’m doing.

While on the point of Minecraft, I see my java edition now displays as “Play Demo” for some strange reason. Granted, I hadn’t opened the game since my last log on before Decemeber holidays.
So I think I need to purchase the java edition, otherwise, I will stick to Xbox and don’t expect me to then take part in too much of the EnderDragon fight, support I can.

Just updated the server. Switched to Paper from Spigot (plugin engine) as it is now stable, and offers better performance. I also added BlockLocker, so you can lock your chests.
Normally when you want to place a sign on a chest, you must crouch-click the chest, and you still can do that as you have been, but if the sign’s purpose is to lock the chest, do not crouch. If you want to add more people to access your chest you may follow the usage instructions:

I have some grand plan for some amazing builds! This weekend Will start off with a grand statue in my own honour! Naturally!
Ok I give up, something odd is going on with my Minecraft -reinstalled 4 times. My gamepass has not lapsed.
Mine has also been showing demo, I just thought it was because I owned GPU that’s why I was able to play.
Did they take minecraft off gamepass or something?
I mean, I don’t think so cos I still have access to it on the Xbox. Well, my son still plays it regularly.
Still showing as part of Xbox and PC service.
Might just be bedrock edition?
