And so far got minecraft to work again, trying to figure out how to use that fancy optifine - I have a feeling the curseforge pack I was using caused the breaking

I haven’t even looked at the server in a couple months.
Is anyone still using it, or should I take it down? I can make the map available if anyone wants.
I suspect the bedrock players especially haven’t attempted to log in, since i haven’t updated the plugin for that.

My son tried logging in the other day and said he couldn’t as it needed to be updated.
Was going to ask if you could add some of his friends to the white list as they were potentially going to play together on there, but he seems to be more into the mod game servers like bed wars etc. at this stage. So I wouldn’t want you to keep the server up just for them.

I mean, it’s been out of date for a month or two already, so if he only mentioned it the other day…
I am kinda torn. I have the most amazing spot with a giant dripstone cave, etc, but I really made the server for the community aspect. That’s why I moved to the server I’ve been playing with on and off for the past … 6 years now?
I joined their new map back in January, and I was just made a mod a week or two ago and it is taking up a lot of my time. The main admin is also making plans with a US based gaming ministry which is really exciting. So while I’m happy to keep things running, I doubt I’ll be playing on it any more, which is kinda sad…
Maybe I can do the updates, add the friends to the white list, and we can do the dragon fight as a last hurrah before I shut it down?
I’ll then throw the map up for download for everyone. You’ll only be able to play it on Java, and there won’t be any of the mods if you just play it as a regular map, but it’s all run in docker, so you can always set up a home server for local play with the family… Bedrock can be done if run in docker, but the plugin will have to be updated when the bedrock clients update (and can take a few days or more for the devs to get it stable)
If anyone is interested in joining me on the other server, it is a small (but large) community, we do weekly mini-game events, including Sky Wars, Connect 4, Discofall, and a bunch more being planned. I don’t think it would be good for the younger ones though, since we do allow a bit of swearing and such, and the players are mostly 14+.

That would be great. Ya I don’t know how committed the kids will be to continuing playing - kids these days are so fickle So if you’re happy to update and leave it running for a limited time that will be cool.

Okie doke. Everything is updated for the latest version. So that’s whatever the console versions are, and Java 1.18.2. PS4 connected fine
