Mobile gaming isn’t my thing but I get the concept. If people spend so much money on phones and can get a good enough approximation of a console or pc gaming experience, why buy the extra hardware? Seems like the ideal solution for casuals.
I’d just rather buy a new graphics card instead of the latest Galaxy.
I did dabble in some mobile gaming, mostly free stuff where i never had to pay for anything like altos adventure, but now i have switched to simply reading manga via my web browser since my phone doesn’t have any space for games anyway
To give you some insight into how big mobile gaming has become. Take the following into consideration.
“2.3 billion gamers across the globe will spend $137.9 billion on games in 2018”
“Digital game revenues will take 91% of the global market with $125.3 billion.”
In 2017 we (the world) spent $121.7Bn on games. 46% of that went straight into the pockets of mobile.
In addition to this, the bulk of that (like 50%) comes straight out of Asia. China, USA and Japan make up almost 75% of Global revenue in the gaming industry.
