Tecmo have declared this “The Year of the Ninja”, so I had to make a thread for one of my favourite franchises!

Ninja Gaiden is an action series like nothing else. Relentless pace, brutal combat and graceful movement combine in a vortex of blood and chaos.

It started as a 2D platformer, before moving to 3D with the original Xbox. Now in 2025, we have a remake of Ninja Gaiden 2 (Black), a new 2D platformer (Ragebound) and an entirely new 3D game in Ninja Gaiden 4.

If you want to get in on the action, the best way is to check out the Master Collection and Ninja Gaiden 2 Black. Both are included with GamePass.

Ninja Gaiden Ragebound releases at the end of July and a demo for it came out yesterday. It’s fantastic!

A game and franchise that I know nothing about, except in name. I really think I should try them out.

Play Ninja Gaiden 2 Black on Game Pass. You’ll enjoy it, it’s right up your alley.
