Not necessarily. The BCEA stipulates that you can be off sick for up to 3 days, including Mondays and Fridays, before an employer has the right to demand a sick note. Alternatively, if you’re sick 3 or more times in a short period (8-12 weeks IIRC) they can also demand a sick note, even if each time was only 1 day each.
Still, the employer can define their own internal policies, procedures and disciplinary code, but it’s worth noting that the BCEA is there for employers to model their rules after. You can technically challenge them in court if they don’t follow the BCEA and you will win…

My policy is one day off sick I want a doctor’s note. That’s after years of guys being found shopping, fixing their cars and other kinds of shit.
Of course no one takes just one day. Based on a my data, Wednesday to Friday is the most popular.

It’s Sunday and Arkham Knight finally finished the download.
I purchased a Steam key through a local retailer and had to download 50GBs worth of game.
I bought this as part of my B-day gifts to myself. I only intend to start playing it on my B-day.
Waiting on my rechargeable battery pack I ordered about a week ago. I want to play this game using a controller.

Yeah - there were many complaints regarding its performance on PC, though, it ran without issue for my brother, as he told me. Mind you, his PC is a beast compared to mine: a modest medium-high settings @ 1080p rig.
Watched gameplay of pre-fix and post-fix (for my system), and it looks promising.
