Morning everyone. For many this is their last week of work. I’ve got a few days next week left however. But at least the traffic is much better.

Yep, working until 21 Dec. We’re leaving for the West Coast on 22 Dec and making it a 3 day trip down there. We decided to take a VERY relaxed drive this year and stop over twice for some peace and quiet after this chaotic year.
That’s an excellent plan. There are so many different and beautiful places to stop over on your way down to Cape Town. People normally just blow past it all. When I moved up I did something similar, and it’s amazing to see. Plus the drive becomes much easier.
Yep. Limiting ourselves to around 5 hours of driving per day, so we’ve got at least 8-10 hours of exploring and sightseeing per day. Our first stop is good old Bloemfontein, then Beaufort West (where everyone owning a car apparently has to break down at least once in their lives when doing the cross-country trek). Luckily my X-Trail is equipped with 4x4 and decent ground clearance if we need to take some light detours on our way down.
Nice. I would also suggest the more southern route. From Colesberg going down to Graaf-Reinet, Uniondale, Oudtshoorn. Much longer rout though, but awesome little places. Plus Die Spook Van Uniondale is hotter than you’d expect…

I cant believe how tired I still feel after this weekend and we didnt do much at all.
NIce! It’s the best to get away a bit. It helps a lot.
I’ll also be doing some driving from the 22nd… in Forza 7. Will have two weeks leave and the XBox One X to play with. Can’t wait! Just have to get through the 2 weeks leading up to it.
