Offbeat . . . Off Topic

My business partner’s wife has an occupational therapy practice that focuses solely on medico legal. No pro bono work, obviously…

I’m growing to like this kinda work even more. Good pay, slower pace and looser deadlines.

Yeah sure, why not? I don’t drink though - will settle for a tonic water with ice and lemon.

ja look im just going to do the sprint(5km) race cause im lazy and will never be fit enough to do the 12km with 25+ obstacles thrown in there as well. the entry also includes a free t-shirt and a beer.

the hubby is of course already pushing for the 12km, cause the 5km will be too easy for him

Seems that is is exactly like the Warrior run though. not really a team thing as on the shows

You no care about squirrels?

This wouldn’t need to be a problem if you worked for yourself.

These races are just so pricey. I don’t get it.
I almost pay that much per entry to race my bike around a track

its cause they have to have insurance, and they have to pay for first aid assitance(which aint cheap), and you can bet your ass the gauteng government also adds a nice hefty fee on there as well. plus the obstacles have to be built and then taken down as well.

Is this the same as the warrior races? I’ve done a couple of those.

hehehe yeah I know all about that.
These races never use to be so expensive.

The more popular and mainstream they got the higher the prices went up.
They disassemble and reassemble the obstacles, dig a few holes and throw in some water for each venue. And the medical staff they have on site is usually uhm… the bare minimum :stuck_out_tongue:
Just don’t get why out door and active things always have to be so expensive

Jup jup, exactly the same

I do and I dont, we are being overrun by squirrels and guinea fowl. The fun part is the fact that we have at least 1 die by road accident per week and then we get the aunties up in arms about how irresponsible people are and how they speed and and and. . . .

Then someone else posts a picture of said aunties in their fancy 4x4’s with the kids jumping on the back seat whilst they are driving and not stopping at stop streets.
