Ya, ours is tiny tiny… Cape Town has an olympic sized, and I think Northgate mall in Joburg, the rest are smaller than that, but still bigger than ours.

SO confused with calculating the VAT for the past 2 months

March is easy its still 14%
But April is confusing, cos the income was at 14% but we paid 15% on our invoices Not sure how to do this. Meh will mail the accountant

Hi all

My weekend ended off on a positive note, with my wife seeing a company on Facebook advertising that they will start installing Fibre in our town from July 2018. I really hope it turns out to be true, and I’ve already asked them some more information which they haven’t shared, like if the lines will be synchronous and what their FUP is like (because they advertise Uncapped, Unshaped and the prices look a little low to me, so I don’t think it is synchronous).

Programming can be demotivating; You’ll fail 9 times out of 10, but it’s only the single success that anyone actually cares about

From what I saw it doesn’t look like they explain many of the basics and the program you were busy with on Friday doesn’t look like something for a beginner.

What do they want you to do in the practice test?

ja no there is no real begginner anything…thats a youtube tutorial i found online as we got given a C# book i cant remember which exam no it is but in that book it says you need at least 6 months worth of actual programming experience. before this we did console apps.

the practice test if for C# qualification, so its just multiple choice questions but you have to drag and drop some pieces of code in certain questions etc.

Are the questions specific to WPF or are they general C# questions?

no its a variety of questions, but it looks like from the practice questions they focus a lot on xaml and json and data storage, garbage collectors etc

with the book we were told to watch these videos on the Microsoft imagine academy website:
https://mva.microsoft.com/en-US/training-courses/programming-in-c-jump-start-14254?l=xnTnx2SfB_4300115888

Ah okay. That does look like a wide range of subjects covered.

And that Youtube video unfortunately does look like overkill. Do you have the practice test or do you only have access to it when you tell them you want to write it?

i have it but its on my laptop. the other guy that is doing this course with me (well thats left over with me) failed his exam at the beginning of this month. he has now decided that he is not going to write C# until later this year and is now doing ASP.NET. i dont want to do it that way and want to get the C# certification before i start with the other courses…
