How do you convince parentals it is time to let a dog go? I canāt handle the fact that the poor dog pees himself every night, he has no bladder control, he is dragging his left hind leg all the time. He is deaf, 80% blind and he really looks uncomfortable most days. I donāt want him to suffer, and it is getting to the point where we have to help keep him upright.
That is very tough. We have had to do it twiceā¦
If your parents canāt get to the point themselves and the want to cling onto the dog, then there is not much you can do to convince them 
If you pay me, Iāll also call it the ultimate card.

Yeah I suppose it is. But the dog is suffering. The āparentalsā should know by now the end is near. They just donāt know how nearā¦
They are normally very good at letting our older dogs go, but then we have been lucky that most passed in their sleep with no real issues. This one is also just special, he was a rehomed fluff, they got him as a 8 month old pup, that was abused. He is a huge cuddle bear and loveable dog, just broken in a few small ways but he had a great life. I just have to hide my tears when I look at him tho, because he is looking worse daily and I donāt know how to let them know he needs to go with some dignity - he is almost 14 which for most GSDās is old.
