Great choice! I drove a silver 2012 Civic Hatch for 4.5 years before buying an X-Trail. Before that I drove a 2008 Civic Hatch. They are marvellous vehicles - reliable, well built and value for money. I still miss my silver machine…

On another note: I’m officially a dad! Our son was born at 07:46 this morning and weighed a whopping 2.36kg - and he wasn’t born premature (at 39 weeks). All our new born clothing we bought for him is too big… Even the few “tiny baby” items we bought are a little too big for the small man.

Everything went well, the baby is doing good, although his blood sugar is a little low due to his small size. He’s well mannered and cute as a button. Wife is doing good as well and has very little pain, just insanely tired. I got the worst end of the stick by almost passing out in the theater. What an experience today was…

CONGRATS AGAIN!

Ja the reason he was looking at the civic was that he kept hearing good things about them. its just a pitty that the civic hatch is not being sold here anymore. you can just by the sedan now

Congrats bud! You may now proceed with acquiring the Dad Bod and Dad jokebook that comes with fatherhood.

Go to Ackermans and get cheap small baby clothes, they grow out of it so fast.

Best piece of advice I could give you is don’t listen to other peoples advice. find out what works best for your family and go with it.

Hi 5 your wife as well from all of us

Yeah we already went the Ackermans route for baby clothes. We got some boutique clothing as gifts from people which we’ll obviously use the moment he fits into it, but to be honest the quality from Ackermans seems pretty much the same as what you’d get from Woolies / Keedo / Naartjie / etc… Especially considering the price difference and how long they wear it. I did splurge on a pair of slip-on Vans for him long ago, but got it on special for R199.

I’ll give the wife regards the moment she wakes up. She’s catching some much needed 40 winks right now.

Regarding your advice - I’ve received that exact advice from many people so far. So isn’t it a bit of an oxymoron? Your advice is to not take advice from others, so should I NOT take that advice and actually take advice from others? It’s some advice-ception stuff right there…

hahaha, it is very contradictory.

My kids have grown up in ackermans and the cheaper store clothes. for home you need something warm and dry. the fancy stuff was all from family and friends.

Enjoy the time with your Son.

Grats on the civic @wenzdayz! I’ve had two, and they are great and reliable cars.

And grats on the boy @FarligOpptreden! I’ve had none, nor any girls. Hope he’s as trouble-free as a civic!! Just remember to change the oil from time to time.

Fantastic news and congratulations Farlig! Glad to hear mom and baby are both well.

Thanks for the congratulations and well wishes everyone. Things are quite calm at the hospital currently. After a quick scare of low blood sugar, he’s up to standard now and sleeps pretty much 90% of the time. That means I have some time to stare and make promises to him while the wife sleeps.

Damn how I miss it when they are not able to run, jump and climb!
Just cute little angels lying there all innocently.

Went to a friends house warming this weekends, and there were 2 other girls the same age more or less as mine (3 years)

We left them to play in the room for a bit, having a view of them through a window and checking up on them every 5 minutes or so in the room.

When I went to go and check on them, they got hold of a scissor and were busy giving each other hair cuts…

Too rich for my blood. The Arctis 3 is more in a budget range I’d save for.

Who here decided to take off from work to play BFA?

What game is BFA?

The new WOW expansion

I haven’t played WoW in like, forever. Quite literally - I haven’t ever installed, tried or played WoW.

Wait what?

I was not able to understand that sentence at all. Those words together do not make sense at all

I was much more of a Guild Wars 2 fan so decided to invest a couple of hundred hours in it back in the day. The bug recently bit me again and I’m considering shelling out for the expansions that I never played… WoW just never pulled me in.

I used to play GW1 vrot when I took a brake from WoW. They are indeed 2 totally different games, but both great in their own way. For some reason I never hopped onto the GW2 train
