it does drive nicely, thats what im saying there… it drives like a dream
Ahhh I read it wrong
I read it the same. The Civics are wonderful cars and especially relaxed if you get an auto.
the one i test drove was not an automatic, it was the manual version. i do however love the hubby’s automatic though
I’ve never driven an automatic in my life but since my dad retired a few years back and got himself an automatic he can’t stop mentioning how easy/comfortable it is to drive.
Ive driven a couple, I can’t, my head finds automatic cars odd
He mentioned that it takes some getting used to not having to use the clutch. Really weird feeling apparently.
the car I wanted only had an automatic so i bought it after 10 years of manual. I love it, I havent lost the ability to drive a manual though.
I can imaging being stuck in traffic is a breeze
i usually just pop it into neutral, but TBH I havent been in traffic in more than two months lol. Long open roads out here
I prefer manual. They’re more fun to drive
as i live in the city and drive mostly in the city an automatic would make more reasonable sense to buy, but the cars i want i cant realistically afford in the automatic version…
I was the same once. Until I got an automatic. In the city, in traffic, its just so much better and on the open road you set the cruise control and forget about it.
But obviously its all down to preference. I cannot go back to manual again. I refuse.
Nice. I got stuck in traffic a week ago after months of hardly being in traffic and about 15mins into being stuck i wanted to chop me left leg off
I’m the opposite, I started out with automatics. My mom’s cars, my brother and I’s mustang, my first two “my own” cars. Then I got a 6 speed, in Canada, with icy roads in winter and all. There were times it would have been easier with an auto, but I never wished I had one… It did have cruise control as well, because it could hold the speed properly, you don’t need to shift.
Then I got a convertible in automatic. Miserable piece of crap that one was…
yeah no I understand completely. I think I am just over switching gears now. Maybe its old age.
I dunno about old age, but middle age is all about mid-life crisis supercars!
Yeah but who can afford it in SA? At this point in my mid life crisis i just want a car that gives me better fuel consumption than the current 13l/100km.
The car I bought now only comes in automatic. It took a while to get used to but it’s a lot more comfortable.
Very true… I’m just thankful to have wheels, being a volunteer and all. That being said, manuals usually give you a tiny bit better mileage over the same model in an automatic
