I’m on a volunteer visa, unfortunately, and I’d have to go back to Canada to change my status, even though I fall into a category covered by Critical Skills visas, which I don’t want to do. I have to have my visa renewal in by the end of October too, so its gonna be hard not to stress out and give myself a stroke… As much as I want to stay in the country, I might have to look into relocating. I’m thinking somewhere that I can play hockey outdoors in winter. I just don’t like the sounds of starting over again…

A few years back, I walked into home affairs, and there was a big sign saying marriages are no longer valid reasons for visas/residency…
