Countdown: Inspiration4 Mission to Space
This September, four civilians will launch into space for a multi-day trip orbiting Earth, targeting approximately a 575km orbit, flying farther from Earth than any human since Hubble. Led and commanded by Jared Isaacman, the founder and CEO of Shift4 Payments, the SpaceX Dragon mission, named Inspiration4, will make history as the world’s first all-civilian mission into orbit.

Space. A netflix exclusive.
Guess I’ll be missing this launch.
Space thread, or gardening thread…
The launch at least should be watchable live on the YouTube channel on the 15th - hopefully at a time that makes sense to us here.
Meanwhile, Inspiration4 launch is happening tomorrow(at a kak time for us I might add):
Details here
And the Netflix documentary into it is pretty interesting for those keen on the backgrounds of the individuals.
Launch highlights:
Full Netflix launch buildup, live launch, and post launch show:
Couple of channels still following the flight “live” but they’re really just rebroadcasts of the launch and trackers showing the ships position. No real live camera feeds that I can find.
Probably saving all the footage for the Netflix finale.
But the SpaceX hosts mentioned that they might have a check in call with them. So hoping to at least get that.
Official NASA feed here. Lots of background inserts and info as well, before launch:
Successful lift off. Atlas V stage separation successful. Lucy is on her way.
lol I managed to catch the stream 3 minutes before the launch
