Petrolheads / Electroheads / Motorheads

I need to give this a watch over the weekend or something. I used to play the shit out of TOCA back in the day and Barthurst was my favourite track because of all the carnage that goes on in the mountains

If you enjoy the race, take a look at AC Competizione. They have a DLC that should be releasing today that includes Bathurst, and a proper laser scanned Kyalami

I bought ACC in early access when it was R80 or whatever, still haven’t played more than an hour or 2. I’m not sure why, it’s a great game.

There are too many damn games…

I am not HUGE Corvette fan, but the idea of this car makes me very excited… Seems only Aus will be getting right hand drive through the Holden brand… Shame, really.

Except, just yesterday… “Holden announces it is leaving Australia”

I just hope it isn’t all plastic like all other 'vettes.

OK… did not see that one! But I did read since that UK, and South Africa are actually getting it. Just the “WHEN” is not clear. Cannot see them bringing it here with the currently weak Chevy brand.

When a 2nd hand 2015 EU NP300 Hardbody destroys a brand new 2019 ZA NP300 hardbody, just shows u the shit that the folk here in SA are being Sold.

I get what the video is trying to say, but what they do not mention is that the EU NP300 is for sale here in ZA as the Navara, it just costs like twice the price of an NP300. The local NP300 is a model that is by now probably 10 or 15 years old, if not more. It is an old recycled design that is cheap to manufacture and still gives poorer people in Africa a choice to buy a decent vehicle. Most newer design cars will be safer than the same car 2 generations back. Not really a fair test.

but just like vw is selling the previous polo as a vivo and toyota is selling the previous generation corolla as the quest, Nissan is not selling the previous gen navara as an np 300 instead they are milking the cow and selling a 2-3 generation really old unsafe vehicle (because there is no proper law her, euro ncap and global ncap means jack here in SA), they can and they have the ability to cut the cost on the previous gen Navara and still make a profit but they choose not to

There is no regulation on Safety here, that why you see unsafe datsun go’s or renault kwid’s that are based on the Datsun driving around here that you wont ever see in the UK, it doesnt meet their safety standards

Fair enough. I just think they needed to give more facts. I guess I just get defensive when international broadcasters or media creators get snarky with Africa
