Colour me intrigued. It would be hard for me to validate spending more on a subscription service, but interesting to imagine what other tiers or options they could provide or offer.

This article is from 20 March so things may have changed. I noticed not too long ago certain notifcations or banners about how Google uses your info - or rather what they will never use your info for etc. So maybe there was some positive changes made?

saw this as well, hopefully they might identify the criminals from the livestream footage, at least one of them, it also seems that the person streaming has shut down their twitch channel

I actually think this is a standard Twitch thing whenever something like this happens. Twitch shut the channel as soon as they get notification of something like this so that people can’t continue to watch and record a possible tragedy as it unfolds, and so that the VODs of the incident can’t be downloaded and used to harass the victims later on. Once the streamer has had a chance to sort themselves out, pass any useful VOD material over to the coppers, and had an opportunity to delete the footage they’ll get their channel reinstated, if they want to.

ahh ok good on twitch then, unfortunately this is the internet, and already the video is on youtube and so on.

Very cool, and the presentation of that case study was perfect. I would have likely skipped a 5 min video but the animated presentation that I could advance at my own pace kept me engaged. These guys know what they’re talking about.
