The next Resident Evil is releasing on the 7th of May which is just around the corner. It continues the story of Resident Evil 7 which was surprisingly good.
Will any of you be playing it?

I will absolutely be playing it as I loved Resi 7. There’s a PS demo out but I want to wait for the full release!

Definitely want to but am going to wait for a bit of a price drop. Thanks to you though, I did discover that there’s a Steam sale on the franchise at the moment (ends this evening I think) and I grabbed RE7 for R155. Eventually - it had been on my want list for ages.
Now waiting for the RE2 and RE3 remakes to go on deep sale too.

I started it this weekend. Compared to 7, it seems a bit more action heavy and has less of the tension and scariness. Some story elements are definitely surprising, which makes me curious to see where this going. In fact, tonally, this game seems all over the place. Quite a departure from the more focused Resi 7.

I finished it this weekend. I loved it.
The story and action all come together in a satisfying manner. It still doesn’t have that razor sharp focus of Resi 7, and in many ways it feels more like a traditional Resi game.
That said, the things I liked from 7 are still here, and generally improved upon, but with a heavier emphasis on action.

I’ve recently found myself to be a fan of RE despite me hating the series for years. I’m currently playing 4 for the first time and after that I’m going on to 6 (I know they say it’s the worst but I want to play it for the reason people hate it- action).
Anyway, I’m really looking forward to the DLC for Village. I should be done with 6 by the time it comes. Quite keen on the third person mode as well as the new Rose story arc.

was busy with village before my ps drive crashed, finished 3 remake on ps3, finished 7 now on xbox, bought re 2 remake recently and then there is still the 2 revelations titles i need to finish as we as actually finishing RE4 before the remake drops, was never a fan of the ps1 era, dreamcast re games. have code veronica on xbox, the old school control scheme is depressing in that game, dont know why they dont remake code veronica
