Well done guys! Hugely impressed that you made it to the end of 24 hours of racing, with all 4 wheels still attached, 801 laps completed, 12 positions improved from the start, and still in a close battle to the end with another car.
I tip my helmet to all of you! Legends all round.
Screen recorded the last 5 minutes of your epic 24 hour race:
Thanks to all who popped in to check on our progress!
And a big thanks to @oltman@SlinX and @DieGrootHammer you guys are awesome team mates From the strategising to the banter and encouragement it was a great experience.
Youād think after collectively 801 laps of Kyalami one would be sick of it but man if I donāt love chucking that Aston around there now!
Well done guys, I popped in every now and then to check on progress and watch some laps. Was lekke to see, especially when you held off that Porsche and got some screentime as wellā¦ Although the commentators did end up blaming you guys(think it was @oltman) for that P8 guy that crashed.
Our charger, battered and bruised, dirty and tired, but after 24 hours of racing still going and still pumping in the lap times.
Thank you once again to @DarthMol, @oltman and @SlinX . Could not have asked for a better team to do this amazing event. And thank you to all that checked in and wished us well. It was a great race to be part of!
I tried finding it again but cannot sorry. Iāll try again and see if I can remember when. I just know I was watching Oltmanās stream at the time and @SlinX said, you guys are being covered on the stream now.
@DarthMol found some coverage
Skin Diss(wasnāt found actually, Brent, linked it in the Racing channel):
Oltman off and blame:
Canāt seem to find the dice, canāt remember if it was before or after this incident.
EDIT: Nevermind I found itā¦ I really should do some work now XD
Iād say theyāve mistaken to blame our car for P8ās spin. We were still about half a metre off track and trundling along. The other driver may have overreacted.
