From what I understand digital PS4 games on my external currently plugged into my PS5 will straight up just work if I plug the drive into a PS5, although they might need to be reinstalled. Game Boost will only work from SSD though. The only game I really want to replay on PS5 (if it benefits from boost mode) is Bloodborne though and that’s part of the PS Plus collection so it’s a non issue.

Its easy for a big company like Sony to throw their weight around, but this seems excessive. I cannot see (other than wanting a monopoly on their face plates) what they would lose to allow others to make face plates…

I really like the fact that, I think it was DF, that touted the console as being completely silent, even when watching a 4K Blu-Ray. So no console noise, nor disc drive noise.
